Information We Collect About You.
In General. We may collect information that can identify you such as your name and email address and other information that does not identify you. We may collect this information through a website or a mobile application. By using the Service, you are authorizing us to gather, parse and retain data related to the provision of the Service. When you provide personal information through our Service, the information may be sent to servers located in the United States and countries around the world.
Information You Provide.
In order to register as a user with Vyve, you will have to sign in using your Facebook login. If you do so, you authorize us to access certain Facebook account information, such as your public Facebook profile (consistent with your privacy settings in Facebook), your email address, name, hometown, birthdate, age, photos, and gender. You will also be asked to allow Vyve to collect your location information from your device when you download or use the Service. In addition, we may collect and store any personal information you provide while using our Service or in some other manner. This may include identifying information, such as your name, gender, ethnicity, and religion. You may also provide us photos, and preferences for recommendations, such as search distance, age range and gender. If you chat with other Vyve users, you provide us the content of your chats, and if you contact us with a customer service or other inquiry, you provide us with the content of that communication.
Information from Content You Upload.
When you upload photos or other content to the Services, we may collect information about the content, such as the time, date and place the photo or content was taken or uploaded, and how you use them, who views them or with whom you share.
Information Automatically Collected.
When you access our Services, we automatically record information from your device and its software, such as your IP address, browser type, Internet service provider, platform type, the site from which you came and the site to which you are going when you leave our website, date and time stamp and one or more cookies that may uniquely identify your browser or your account. When you access our Services using a mobile device, we may also receive or collect identification numbers associated with your device (such as a UDID), mobile carrier, device type and manufacturer, phone number, and, if you have enabled functions of the Services that use your device’s location, your geographical location data. We also collect information about your usage of, and activity on, our Services.
Cookies and Similar Technologies.
Location Data. When you have enabled geographical location-based or GPS services on your device in relation to a Vyve mobile app or any Vyve features or services that use geographical location-based or GPS information, we will collect information about your geographical location or GPS position based on the location of the device you are using to access our Services.
Social Sign-On. We collect Personal Information from your Social Networks when you use your Social Network credentials to log into the Service. For example, when you log in with your Facebook credentials, we collect the Personal Information you have made publicly available in Facebook, such as your name, hometown, email address and profile picture.
Other Information. Other Information such as birth date, photographs, videos, password, age, ethnicity, religion, and geographical location (including GPS) may be collected.
How We Use Your Information.
In all circumstances, we may perform these functions directly or we may use a third party vendor to perform these functions on our behalf who will be obligated to use your personal information only to perform services for us.
Vyve May Disclose Your Information.
We are not the Bad Guys!! Our Service does not rent, sell or share any personal information about you to any companies outside our Service or affiliated third parties; unless we have your permission to do so. However, we may share your information.
We may share your information in any of the following ways:
Geographical or GPS Location-Cased Services. To provide features of the Services that may be relevant to you and your geographical location or GPS information, such as Services provided through our mobile apps that may allow users to see the location of other users.
-Displaying Information to Other Users. Our Service is a little different than other dating apps out there! You have control of which users can access your full profile. Once you connect a User to access your profile, we cannot control what the user does with the information that you share on your profile; so please choose carefully of who you allow to access your profile!
Vendors and Service Providers. We may share any information we receive with vendors and service providers retained in connection with the provision of the Service by Vyve.
-As Required By Law and Similar Disclosures. In response to a subpoena or similar investigative demand, a court order, or a request for cooperation from a law enforcement or other government agency; to establish or exercise our legal rights; to defend against legal claims; or as otherwise required by law. In such cases, we may raise or waive any legal objection or right available to us.
In Connection with a Substantial Corporate Transaction.
In connection with a substantial corporate transaction, such as the sale of our business, a divestiture, merger, consolidation, or asset sale, or in the unlikely event of bankruptcy.
Your Choices About Our Use and Collection of Your Information.
You can choose not to provide us with certain information, but that may cause you to be unable to use certain features of Vyve.
Our Service may also deliver notifications to your cell phone or mobile device. You can disable these notifications by changing the settings on your mobile device.
You can also control information collected by cookies. You can delete or decline cookies by changing your browser settings. Click “help” in the toolbar of most browsers for instructions.
Information You Post.
Whenever you voluntarily disclose personal information on publicly-viewable pages, that information will be publicly available and can be collected and used by others. For example, if you post your email address, you may receive unsolicited messages. We cannot control who reads your posting or what other users may do with the information you voluntarily post, so we encourage you to exercise discretion and caution with respect to posting any personal information.
The Service collects and stores automatically generated information as you use it, including your preferences and anonymous usage statistics. When you visit the Service, we and our third-party service providers receive and record information on our server logs from your browser, including your IP address, and from cookies and similar technology. Although our website is a general audience site, we restrict the use of our Services to individuals of the age of 18 and above. Using our Service Outside of the United States.
